Every session I attended was worthwhile, had application for the content presented and the presenter created an environment of interest. I can see no downside to the RAFT Symposium. I believe it met every objective for me.
Making Math Meaningful – this was a fabulous, hands on experience. Amy did a great job of engaging us from the beginning and started us thinking math without even realizing it. I found this to be an interesting and fun session which left me wanting more. It also gave me wonderful take aways which I can immediately build into my class!
How to write like Eric Carle: amazing instructors! I could have listened to them all day!
How Artists Solve Problems was great because of the instructors, the content, and the structure. I could tell they were well prepared with a plan to keep us engaged and learning for the full three hours. Nothing felt redundant in the slightest. The activities the instructors had us participate in were fun and engaging and also showed how our students could be equally engaged and interested, no matter the age level.
